ENG Alexia Colombo, was born in Monza on April 26, 1993. A visceral artist from the beginning, it is through drawing and painting that she is able to express her strong emotional vision of reality. Eleven years old, a period of stylistic studies began for her, carried out through the reproduction of canvases known to most, from the "Vampire" of Munch to the "Grand Canal" of Signac. Currents such as Impressionism, Expressionism and Surrealism will be a constant source of inspiration for her. After a long period of pause, in 2015 he approached painting with a totally personal approach, gained thanks to the observation and assimilation of the essence of nature and the human being. In this way, his stylistic code emerged, already inherent in the first works depicting landscapes, dating back to this period, which then emerged with great voice in the subsequent portraits of bodies, anatomical structures with a deep ideological and visceral link with those of the Austrian Egon Schiele. His creations are recognizable for their expressive intensity, a characteristic conferred by the deep work of introspection. The subjects he prefers concern the female sphere and the naked, with particular attention to the study of tangible bodies, an anthropological research of the essence of man that has deep roots in what, when compared to traditional aesthetic canons, is defined by the whole world like "defect", "deformation". His figures are often incomplete, thus managing to communicate with greater intensity, together with shape, sign and color, that inner unease that grips the whole of today's society.
